When Mary Henry and her girlfriends are challenged to a drag, the women accept but are forced off a bridge into a river. It appears they all drowned until Mary, amazingly, emerges from the water. After recovering, Mary takes a job as a church organist and begins to find solace in a run-down carnival where she must confront her demons.
