Algiers

Pepe Le Moko, a French jewel thief in hiding, lives in the maze-like citadel of the Casbah located in Algiers. Pepe lives like royalty while in hiding, but he's also imprisoned there. The French authorities actively pursue him while the sly Algerian inspector Slimane waits for him to slip.
